Growing a small business while striving for the right balance of work life, home life and "me" time has been quite a challenge over the last 6 months. The daily list of this and that needing to be done just grows and grows and finally you decide to do just the things in the "this" column and put off "that" for other days. Website updates have become just "that" - the thing that needs to be put off again and again. Don't get me wrong, the growth we are experiencing is great and we take on new challenges and get more done each and every week, but I still wish that I could find a way to do it all. But in the meantime it's still a whole lot of this and that is just going to have to wait!
What is in the "that" column you ask? Hmmm. It's a really long list and I despise lists even though they are a necessary evil sometimes. I want to finish and post another pattern. I want to finish 2 new products that are in the development process. I want to update the blog at least 2 times a week and this website needs some serious updating for current products and better pictures.
The things that don't even make it onto one of the two lists I guess is more of a wish list. I wish I could start a second shop for sewing supplies. I have a large collection of vintage patterns I would like to share. And fabric? Yes, I have fabric I could sell. And if I could get the fabric listed on the site I could actually save a bunch of time when asked "What fabrics to you have available?"
But writing this is taking me away from this and that so I must get back to work now.
