Yesterday we packed up the car and headed off to the Madrona Fiber Arts Festival - and it was such a blast! I had the opportunity to (finally) meet Franklin Habit. I've been a big fan for years and I'm pleased to report that I only went a little "Fan Girl." He was gracious and charming and I really look forward to seeing more of him at future events.
The meeting came about as if it were fate. When we got to Madrona we ended up parking in a side lot so we entered through a side door. Franklin happened to be teaching in a class in that hallway and his classroom door was open. He literally was the first person I saw when we arrived. Yeah!!
And then before we could even get to the Marketplace, there was Stephanie, the Yarn Harlot. It was great meeting up with her again and we had a nice chat. The starts were all aligned in my favor 🙂
I had quite a list of things to see and do at Madrona, and I managed to check everything off my list except taking pictures. I had both my phone and my camera, but things were happening so quickly that I didn't even realize I forgot to take pictures until we were halfway home. Oh well.
Another great happening for Grace's Cases is that our needlecases, bags and a few other products are now available in the Carolina Homespun booth! If you aren't able to attend Madrona, you can find Carolina Homespun at many other events so please remember to check it out.
